Cumulative hits / Defensive fire

Post by Schmagauke »

Hello,

i played my first game yesterday and i have two questions about the rules:

1.) How often is a unit allowed to make defensive fire in one phase?
we had the situation that one unit has been charged by 2 enemy units and we wondered if it can shoot defensive fire against both

2.) are single hits in one round cumulative?
a single hit causes no cohesion loss, but what about a unit that takes three single hits from three different enemies in one round? does this count as three hits?

1. A unit only shoots once. You move all chargers to 2MU. Allocate the defensive fire (p. 52 Splitting Fire) and roll the dice, applying results to both enemy, as applicable.

2. All hits in any one phase are cumulative. So it counts as 3 hits.

The only situations where a unit fires more than once is if defending buildings or in fortifications. See the FAQ (available on the website) for building details.
