Could someone give me a quick primer on how to keep Russia in the war as long as possible? Much thanks.

Which version are you running? ie. 1.60 beta, 1.62, 1.52

Yes, I have not upgraded to 1.62 yet, so I will not suggest anything, other than installing 1.62 hotfix 2, which I believe helps the Russians.
