I just had a chat with the folks from Customer Support, who told me that they sent you via e-mail a link for a hotfix I made last Sunday. Did you get the link? Please send an e-mail to Customer Support or PM me if you're still having issues. I know the fix works fine because someone else reported a similar issue in the Steam forums and he reported that the problem got sorted by applying the patch.

I got the link, Ignacio, extracted it, but still the problem persists.

When you say that the problem still persists, does it mean you're still experiencing the same problem you reported about not being able to hire personnel? If yes, can you let me know which version of the game you're running? You can find the version at the bottom of the main menu.

Even though I've extracted the hotfix, the version reads 1.40. I'm still experiencing the above mentioned problem with any saved PBEM game turns started with versions before 1.40

Hello Joe,

Please check that you extracted the files into the right location. The main menu should show version 1.4.20. Also, please check that you only have one SPM-Windows.exe file inside your installation folder.
