Editor Question
I think I've come to grips with most of the quirks of the editor now, but I'm still trying to figure out.. can you make a unit switch sides during the game?
Specifically I want the auxiliary French forces to become Vichy France under control of the Axis after the conditions are met. I can get the hex flags to switch and all that easily enough, but not the actual units themselves.
Just wondering if it's even possible, or if I've missed something.

Re: Editor Question
Yes, the good news is that you can switch units from a nation to any other nation.

Unfortunately, there is also bad news. Units that have changed flag and/or side seem to have "erratic" behaviour. Those units ignore any further orders you might have for them and there is also an issue i have encountered that i could only see any of these units only if one of my own units was adjacent to it. This is a bug that should be adressed in a future PzC patch.

Re: Editor Question
When they changed flag they became an AI unit.
Re: Editor Question
The change side script is indeed flawed.
I tried to make the Romanians to change side in the Battlefield mod earlier, but I also found that it does not work as intended. So I had to use another trick: those units who would change side simply disappear from the map and then new units appear in the next turn belonging to the other side. It is less than ideal, but since the script does not work there is no other option at the moment, AFAIK.

Re: Editor Question
He would have told use if we were to know, but it obviously hasn't been officially announced yet. Anywhere from June until about October is a reasonable estimate if we are talking officially about updates in the accompanying patches though.Ballermann wrote:Wich day is the upcoming official expansion?nikivdd wrote:It will get a fix for the upcoming official expansions

Re: Editor Question
I tried that before, and did it again step by step as you showed just in case, but still nothing is happening; they're remaining French units under Allied control, and not becoming VIchy France or Axis.
Re: Editor Question
Thanks so much, thought I had done that but apparently I had made a mistake somewhere.
