ITC - Rome - 5th/6th September

The prestigious ITC tournament will be held on 5th/6th September in the centre of Rome.

This is a four man team competition with each player playing a singles game in a themed period. The themes are:

1) Magna Grecia (600bc-400bc) (Ancient Greece and its enemies) (lists from Immortal fire and Lost Scrolls)
2) I Crusader (1096ad) (Knight against arabs) (lists from Sword & Scimitar and Decline & Fall)
3) Clash of barbarians (lists from Legion Triumphant and Wolves from the Sea)
4) Late Europe at War (1450ad-1500ad) (lists from Storm of Arrows and Eternal Empire)

The venue is the Savoy hotel in the centre of Rome in a famous location - the Via Veneto. We have secured a heavily discounted price for rooms which are 90 Euros per night for a single and 130 Euros per night for a double or twin. This includes breakfast. NB In order to secure this rate, we have committed that all players who participate must stay at this hotel

This is a very social event with players coming from all over the world to attend - there will be meals arranged for both the Saturday and Sunday lunchtime betwen games and also an evening dinner on the Saturday.

Usually, this is a closed competition with only two teams allowed per nation, however, as this is likely to be the last time FoG is played at the ITC, we have decided to open this competition to anybody who would like to attend. If you have enough friends to put a team together just let me know all the details, if you don't have enough for a team then drop me a mail and I will put you in contact with others in the same position.

Unfortunately I'm already booked for Lisbon, so cannot fit in Rome. Whats likely to take the place of FoG, or is it the ITC itself thats coming to an end?

The ITC has survived at least one change. We will offer whatever is avaialable, and importantly, what people are playing. At the moment there is not one set of rules that unites several countries
