Gamespot

I also find the final comments interesting:
The game has a good battle engine, but that's about all it has. Hopefully, Slitherine will build on this and include the overarching strategy game next time.

I think it's well written and the reviewer has actually played the game (which is rare nowadays) and makes some good points (but he only played in normal and/or hard, because...
Sure, the battles get progressively harder, but they're generally not so hard as to cause frustration
)

I like the end of the article:

:roll: :wink:

EDIT. Anguile's been quicker than me on quoting his last sentence!!!!!

Not too bad score really, i think its the lowest i've seen. The user score is pretty decent those 8.1 or so, from 50 votes. :D

Yeah, but he's telling you the same thing we have been politely trying to say - that Legion II really needs the combination of the LA tactical engine (or at least a version thereof) married to the strategic game from Spartan/GoT.

Believe me, we understand when you say you just can't afford to do that, but....oh hell, I don't know what! :)

I thought they said that was why they made Legion Arena. To test upgrades to their battle engine. If not, though, I agree with possum. I haven't played the full version of any of your games, but I tried the Spartan demo, and I loved. The only draw back was a terrible turn limit :( (but I prefer turn limits to limited time trials, I almost never get those, and hate myself when I do. It is like good chocalates, you know it is there and it will be fun, but you want to save it forever and ever, only worse. I can't take that kind of strain.)

Anyway, being able to customize troops and order them within the battle (though the second isn't nessecary) would add alot more depth a repay value, in my opinion.
