Thoroughly enjoyable IMHO....

It is 1965 and the US ground war in Vietnam is in full swing. As a US Army commander, wage a counter-insurgency (COIN) war to secure the Ia Drang valley, on the border with Cambodia.

Thoroughly enjoyable IMHO....

Post by jack54 »

I have enjoyed this game from the start but it seems even better after a few weeks of play. I'm getting better scores and avoiding the death spiral that plagued me earlier. I've had some awesome games where the PP was high giving me opportunities to buy enough units but yet the H&M score remained a challenge.

I have learned.... that 'mine clearing is important'.... the APC can be fun.... Ambushes can be frustrating but also exhilarating (especially when 1 unit fights off 3 enemy)... getting the drop on some RPG's before they get you is extremely satisfying... supply flights are 'anxious moments' and I sometimes question whether venturing into the jungle, to visit some remote village, is worth as much as HQ says it is....

Thanks again.... the addiction continues

Not sure about that 'fow'.... it seems really dark. I'd miss the map. Is it an 'on/off' filter?

I love when you have infantry, a cobra and artillery in striking range, and you pick the wrong one to attack with and the VC are not killed and melt into the jungle makes you feel like you failed the folks back home.(missed PP)
