Mouse cursor not properly displayed on Linux

Post by Sorgel »

Hello,

Since the custom cursor has been added to the game, it is not properly displayed on my Debian Linux system. I can see the "box" around it so I get a square cursor. Looks like a transparency problem ?

Have you tried replacing the graphic-file of the cursor with something else?
Does the game crash if you remove the files completely?

\Pandora\Data\Video\Textures\GUI\
should contain Cursor, CursorLarge and CursorMedium

Thanks. I renamed all three files and the game did not launch. Then I replaced them with empty files with the same names, it still did not launch. It seems like the only possibility is to find different cursor pictures but I'm afraid it does not change the matter since I'll probably have the same transparency problem. It seems like there is a pre-requisite that is not packaged with the game files that my system does not have but there is surely something to install to fix this. The non-cursor part of the pictures is partially translucid, just not enough =/. Xilmi, do you think you could question the original developers about this ?
(By the way, thanks for the work you're doing on the game, I am bringing up my cursor issue because I want to try the changes you've done after many months without playing the game)

I am aware that the game uses "GLFW" 3.1 now instead of "GLFW" 3.0. I even think it was related to the cursor somehow.
This could be a possible prerequiste, but I'd suppose it's included in the game.

I remember reading posts about people who had issues with the cursor using a Mac aswell.

Maybe there's a configuration-option to disable the new and use the old cursor instead as a workaround for this. I'll have a look for that once I'm at home.
