Undo command
Not sure if this has been requested before, but an undo button for non-critical moves or even just turns would be so useful. When playing on the iPad, I find sometimes that the unit descriptor floats in the way of the command buttons and before you know it, you have just turned a unit the wrong way with no way of remedying the error!

Re: Undo command
Unfortunately the way the engine works won't currently support an undo command.keyth wrote:Not sure if this has been requested before, but an undo button for non-critical moves or even just turns would be so useful. We have done some work on improving the tooltip formatting for the next update, which should mitigate the above problem. We have also added the option to minimise tooltips so that once you are familiar with the system you can set the tooltips to show only unit names.

Thanks for the info. Part of my problem is that I imagine my fingertips are honed precision instruments that are unfailing in their pointing skills. The reality may be slightly different...

I'm another Panzer Corps player who will grovel for an undo button.
I don't drink Kronenbourg but I'm sure the AI thinks I'm on something when I show them my rear by accident.

Re: Undo command
I haven't noticed the need for this in this game yet, but in other games the solution to the twitchy fingers syndrome is to add a routine the forces you to confirm moves or actions before they happen.
This can really slow down the game, so I've seen the confirmation as a toggle option.
The unmentioned problem is that if you are playing a game that uses fog of war, if you allow undo moves, someone can move, discover he's about to attack an entire army with just one piece, undo the move, and high tail it out of there.
Having said that, there are days when even the steadiest suffer from twitchy finger syndrome (aka too much Kronenbourg). So it would be nice to know, if you happen to be playing in that condition, that you can limit your idiotic mistakes to the conceptual ones.
It would also be nice to have a toggle switch for having the computer tell you that you're making bad moves because you're up way past your bedtime.

Re: Undo command
FoG had a very nice undo that would only function if your decision/dexterity issue had been trivial i.e. No change to fog of war, no tests required etc., so something like a rotation could be rescinded. I play on both PC and iPad, and find myself making errors (usually rotations) on the iPad because I'm in PC mode.
I am totally against a universal undo as it opens the door to 'what if' moves and all that kind of stuff.
