Battle Academy2 IOS - LOS, gun problems

Post by Demartin »

Overall the game works great on the iPad. However there is a bunch of very annoying problems which are very frustrating.

1. Main problem is related to weird handling of the line of fire for anti-tank guns and maybe even other units (heavy machine guns). I usually play skirmish as an Axis in years 44/45 and my tanks and other units face frequent problem that I get hit all the time with anti-tank guns which are invisible. Later I usually discover that the anti-tank gun in question (mostly ZIS-2/3) fires from very far away distance and at the same time over/through some obstacles (few houses, multiple squares of forest etc.). Therefore I suspect there is an error in the game (IOS) which allows for firing through obstacles.

2. Visibility. I encounter frequent situation that my units are bombarded by mortar fire (but as well by self propelled artillery and anti-tank guns) way beyond the LOS that should be available to the enemy.

I suspect in regard to item 2 that you are being sighted by an enemy infantry unit that you cannot see and mortar/artillery fire is being called down on you.

I don't have an iPad so can comment beyond saying LOS in general has the appearance of being rather tricky.

Without seeing the example its hard to say but it sounds like you're being shot from ambush which is entirely possible. If you post a screenshot of your issue maybe we can help explain what is happening.
