Post by madaxeman »

Bookings for Roll Call (now April 11/12th, still in Cranfield) are now open for 2015 via the BHGS website:

The 25mm period at Roll Call will remain as "open", and the 15mm period is to be:

The Era of Rome, Greece and their Enemies.

Armies from the following books are permitted (Allies must also be drawn only from these books):
  • Rise of Rome
    Immortal Fire
Lost Scrolls (Early Roman to Apulian, Lucanian or Bruttian inclusive)
Empires of the Dragon (Early Horse Nomad to Three Kingdoms inclusive)

The BHGS Challenge - http://www.bhgs.org.uk/the-challenge.html is also open for bookings

Is it any army from those books Tim or is there a restriction? Thinking the EAP for example is too early for Rome.

Given the period, how about having a smaller table as at Britcon?

I would assume EotD is any army from Early Horse Nomad to Three Kingdoms; if it isn't between those pages you can't use it.

Same with the restriction for Lost Scrolls

15mm AM currently the most popular period with 14 players.. who are...

Pete Dalby
Andy Ellis
Jon Akers
Graham Briggs
Bob Amey
Graham Evans
dave "lower case" saunders
Steve Murton
Chris Tofalos
david "also lower case" putt
Michael Ulrich
Keith Pullen
Graham "I've accidentally paid twice, once in November and once in January" Briggs
Lance Flint

25mm AM still just 1 signed up so far..(well done Steve Brown... for signing up, and also for getting in there ahead of Graham Briggs)... so hurry up and get painting those big toys!

We're on 64 players across the whole event, which is already more than half the (non-WHFB*) attendance in 2014 with around 3 months to go.

Booking online is open

(* No WHFB this year either - the two organisers have jacked it in for another ruleset- so less queues for lunch!)

What an idiot. If anyone's yet to put their entry in, let me know and they can fork over the £19 fee on the day. That'll make it easier for Tim than toing and froing with the dosh.

I've got Grahams spare ticket so please don't annoy him by more requests.

He may already be disappointed as I've saved money on the deal.

I could enter as Graham Briggs 2, but I would never match up to that so I'll be half Graham Briggs

Good news all, I've done the same with the Challenge. But this time I think I've found someone to cover for my mistake by attending.

I'm going to RollCall for the first time in several years. Where do people tend to stay - Bedford, MK, etc? And any suggestions on hotel?

Alan, if it helps at all I am getting a hire car and picking up a couple of the london club near heathrow Friday afternoon if you are flying in?

Hotel wise - normally a travel lodge or similar.

Standard tables, as per the website.

We don't have quite as much setup time, so not having to tape the tables as much helps Don and Jer set up as well.

STOP PRESS - ROLL CALL IS NOW ALMOST FULL !!

With a venue capacity this year of 140 places, we have now capped the entry numbers for all periods either at, or just over the current booking levels. This is to allow us to ensure that we have even numbers in each period.

We will be operating a waiting list, and with over a month to go there will no doubt be some dropouts too so please do put your name on the waiting list even if your chosen period is showing as full. You can put your name down on the wait list though any of our booking sites.
