Russian Artillery

Is it just my impression that the Russian 76mm Artillery is too weak in comparison to their German counterparts? I mean, if you are lucky, you hit one guy in an infantry squad, whereas even with the Wespe you can take out whole squads.

Hello Jeggs,

I've been asking about this in the office. the 76mm artillery is the weakest of the artillery, as most of the other artillery bonuses are 100mm or larger, so these will cause more damage. However the Soviet artillery does also hit more often than the German artillery. That said, I have often found the artillery to be far less useful than the airstrike bonuses, as the artillery seems to always have a much lower damage/hit chance, so although it can be useful I find it only really serves as a diversion (and to kill halftracks)
