Batesmotel just informed me his computer crashed so he'll be a little late finishing up games. Stay ready, PeterGuest!

batesmotel (Seljuks) 25/40 beat Londo (Mamluk) 43/40
batesmotel Mamluk) 26/37 beat Londo (Seljuk) 25/38
Londo resigned the second game since he couldn't make up the BP deficit from the first. Thanks for two good games.

FINAL RESULTS
2 almighty battles between Mamluks and Georgians that both went right down to the wire.
In the 1st PeterGuest's Mamluks defeated Batesmotel's Georgians, 29/32 vs 44/44.
The large Georgian force almost ground down the better quality but numerically inferior Mamluks. On an open battlefield the winning margin of only 3 BPs was far closer than I had hoped for ...
... but with scores of 39/39 (PGs Georgians) vs 38/37 (B's Mamluks) the 2nd game was a draw!
In this game I was lucky to have the initiative that gave me a hill to sit on top of and a river to hide behind. Without the terrain advantage the Mamluks would have over run my Georgians - but that's how history is written I suppose.
Thanks to Chris for 2 excellent games, to everyone else I played, and to Jonathan for organising the tournament. Cheers everyone!
