Hero without name and photo

Post by kanniethexen »

In the tutorial my Wehrmacht Infantry unit got a hero, but the hero didn't have a name or photo. Is this a bug?

It´s the Unknown Soldier. I think I even saw his grave once.

Very funny. Does anybody have a serious explanation for this?

Not all nationalities have hero portraits and names. The problem here is that you are not actually playing with the normal Germany army during the tutorial, you are playing with a 'practice' version which has only a limited set of units to purchase.

Each nationality has an internal code, 'normal' Germany is 0, UK is 1, USA is 2 and Italy is 5. These are the only countries that have hero names & portraits. The German tutorial 'country' has code 22, so there aren't any hero names & pictures for them.

I'm not sure if this is as designed, but it is how it works I'm afraid. :?
