We have managed to track down a number of issues that impacted online play. Version 1.1.1 should address most if not all of the Game Center issues that you’ve reported. Sorry so many of you ran into them, but your reports definitely helped us look in the right places.

(App Store reality check: the new version hides all old reviews and ratings, so if you get the chance, please rate the new build. Thanks!)
