How to have a longer battle?

Hello all,

I normally have the victory ending by day 21-23rd, to both sides, as IA automatically surrandered. Sometimes I meant to have a longer game to achieve better killing results, its too early to end the game automatically by computer. Anyone have longer battles? Please let me know how to get it.

Stop playing the AI, Levi, it's too dumb to survive long enough to get into the long game. (Unless you deliberately play even stupider, of course.)

Being given the option to play on beyond the auto victory has been suggested and it looks like Shenandoah are considering adding the feature.
