From Basecamp - and the AI fought back

As time went on the AI obviously improved more and more .. but it still wasn't quite there.

vR getting better in 189?

Ros Hermans - Just finished some BotB vs vR in 189 and I'm impressed with the progress. The two days it was close to an effective human player. I still managed to cut it off when it lunged for the Muese, but was persistent in reopen invite supply lines. It was also gathering and moving armor in force and attacking targets of opportunity prior to the "vg shuffle" late in the turn. While it still lost it lasted longer (25th) and had a peak VP (38) higher than any previous game I've played yet.

What is everyone else seeing?

Battle of the Bulge Milestone: on the subway to work this morning, @radiofreelunch lost to an AI opponent for the first time. @gamedevMig made big improvements.

Tom Kassel – It seems a little more sensible in early moves but still let three units be put out of supply easily and lost on the 21st. Even though I avoided killing units for VP and let him have Bastogne in hopes the game would extend a bit, it was no help.

Mitch Reed – With each update I get into as many games vs the AI as I can. With each version I see less of the "what the heck was that" moves the AI made in the past. Right now I am running about a 60% win rate vs the AI; as opposed to 100% with the first version I tested.

I hadn't played much RttM over the last several weeks so decided to try some games last night and this AM...
Impressive... MOST impressive!
Playing as the Allies against the von Rundstedt AI I managed only 2 victories against 4 draws and 1 loss. Kudos to Miguel and the team!
