I like to play my games with minimal HUD or artifacts, even if they are for "my own good"
It should be my choice
There needs be options to toggle on and off:
* unit bases (btw, what happened to the circles, the teacups do not lend well with immersion...
*highlighted areas you can move, double move and shoot....I am presented with white hexes grey hexes and possibly a final layer of pink hexes... AND if theres a leader near, an additonal area of yellow hexes! To much and really IMHO crushes immersion.
All these should be toggable off or on at a players discretion. NOt only that but the arrow pathfinder tells you how far you can go, not everyone needs the highlighted hexes too.
*I dont want to have any symbols on my units, whether it be hands, skulls, D for disordered etc. Some of these can be toggled off in the old perferneces on the main menu but not all. These all should be optional.
*graphics: I mentioned this a long time ago but light foot, light cavalry and even the occasionl heavy infantry graphics are now squished closer than they were in FOGVB
Subjective I know, but having the two figures for light units farther apart distinguished them as being in loose formations, a nice touch. Now they are displayed as riding boot to boot( or sandle to sandle as the case may be)

That's why FoG(U) made possible things like completely removing the GUI and/or hiding the mouse pointer.
Option for toggling BG's bases on/off will be provided.
1) the AOC and AORC are already toggleable in FoG(U) (reading the build's readme -> controls section could have helped you from a lot of frustration):
2) most of BGs' action indicators are toggleable from options. still, all of them should be indeed have their own toggle on/off option, and it will be added
3) light units (skirmishers) have only 2 figures in formation. no other troop type has only 2 figures in a formation, so they are easily recognizable. still, I will consider spreading them a little bit more apart.

The MA is not always intuitive (due to the presence of DM, various enemy ZOC's, impassable terrain, etc), so I don't think it really needs a toggle option. will still consider it (and eventually implement it depending on time/having work to do in those code sections)...

- M => switches the minimap min zoom/max zoom

- ` (the key to the left of the 1 key, upper left part of the keyboard for most of the keyboards) -> toggles the Debug Console on/off (default off)
- LCTRL + ` (the key to the left of the 1 key, upper left part of the keyboard for most of the keyboards) -> toggles the Gameplay Console on/off (default off)
- TAB -> toggles GUI on/off
- LCTRL + O -> toggles mouse cursor on/off
...

I did try these :

I've tested them, and they are working just fine. please remember that (as per readme), they are only working while in-game.
, (comma) toggles AORC on/off
. (full stop/period) toggles AOC on/off
You don't need to have any BG selected for them to work, but pressing comma while having a skirmisher BG selected will help you visualize the appearing/disappearing AOC and pressing period while having a leader BG selected will help you visualize the appearing/disappearing AORC.
