sometimes during a scenario, p c displays, that are new units are availaible. but how can i buy them or upgrade?
if it ain't possible, why shows p c this possibilitys. after ending the scenario i can see all possible upgrades.

All upgrades are possible in cities only.

Re: upgrades during scenario
aaaahhhh. very interesting. thx. are the upgradecosts the same as between the maps?
i ask so because the upfilling from units during a combat is much more expansive than after ending

Re: upgrades during scenario
Same costs. Don´t forget though, that side upgrades outside the same family ( e.g. Pz III to Tiger) loses all overstrength points, the upgraded unit has strength 10 max.

Re: upgrades during scenario
hmm.. are you shure? or only during the map?
because i could not confirm this. i upgrade my panzer iv to tiger i and they still habe 12 strength.

Re: upgrades during scenario
This depends which rule set are you playing with. If you are playing with the 1.14 rules upgrading outside of the family does not reset overstrength. Playing under 1.20 rules it does. This is at least true during the deployment phase. I must admit i never tested it during an actual scenario but it should behave same. If it isn't then its probably a bug.

Re: upgrades during scenario
I occasionally do an in-game in-family upgrade if I happen to be in a city at a convenient time during a game.
If anything I use out-of family upgrades more often. In Suez, the FW190 becomes available early in the scenario and (if you have the prestige) the improved performance makes it worth upgrading any 109s that are not overstrength. In Dieppe and some of the 43 and 44 East scenarios if I have plenty of prestige I will sometimes upgrade auxiliary Wehr reserve troops to Infantry for the extra ground defence. The ability to hold on for the extra turn or two can be worth it to buy time for core units to resupply or reposition.
It works the same as upgrading between scenarios using version 1.22 rules (including the cost).
