DLC GC path?

Post by tkrysiak »

Hi Guys

Just wondering what path do people take for doing the DLCs? I got to end of 1941 and decided o reroll on field marshall. I am thinking of doing a playthrough 39-41 and then only east scenarios, followed by another playthrough with west scenarios only.

I have also heard that cap limits are different between east/west later on so hopping between both with the same army is probably a no go?

You cannot deploy as many units in the West DLC's as in the East DLC's. You can still choose from the same core though (and can rotate units between scenario's aswell if you wish).

PS To get rid of the Opel you need to lurk less :D.

I keep thinking that if you set out in 1939 intending to go West, you should keep your core to a minimum and try to develop a small number of units with really good heroes on the 8 or 9 units you will take with you. If you are heading East there is more room for more specialised units including a larger reserve of tanks and AT at 2 or 3* that can be converted to experienced Tiger/Panther/Tiger 2/Maus/Elefants and Jagdpanthers in an emergency (depending on play style and skill this can be anywhere from late 1942 onwards).

I haven't actually tried out my own idea yet but the theory is sound.
