Hi all,
I just bought 2 copies of BA for the Ipad for myself and my son to play multiplayer.
When we click on the multiplayer button, it asks each of us to set up for the first time.
If I use my login information from this forum, I see an error that the ID is incorrect.
If either of us, on our individual ipads, click the button that says that you can register now, a new dialog comes up and we eahc fill in a user name, password, etc. Then we both see the same error which indicates that our id cannot be found.
So we cannot set up to play BA multiplayer on either Ipad and are stuck. Any ideas?

Can you please send an email to support@slitherine.co.uk with the details of the two accounts you have set up. As you say, you should be able to login with an existing Slitherine account without issue, as most people do.

Hi Pip,
I did this and I received an initial reply from Joe (many thanks). However, after he reset things and gave me a new password we (both my son and I) are not able to log into the multiplayer option. I reported this to Joe but have had no reply since his initial email to me.
Please advise.

Are you sure you are entering the details correctly? Checking for case sensitivity etc.
Are you sure you are both online?
I appreciate these are basic questions, but it is good to get the simple things out of the way first! We have never had issues with people logging in to MP in the past, and there are 1000s of iPad players playing MP.
I would also suggest deleting the app from the iPads and redownloading in case something has been corrupted.

Thanks for the reply.
I have no problem answering basic questions.
1) I had already uninstalled and re-installed the BA app from both iPads while waiting to hear further from Joe. The problem still occurs. Note that we did this directly from the iPad from the AppStore. We did not use iTunes to install the app on either iPad.
2) Both iPads are online via WiFi. This is confirmed by the fact that I can open and view other websites, etc. on both iPads and that I can download information to both iPads. e.g. I can open the forums and/or the online help from both iPads with no problem.
3) Case sensitive? How does this apply? My login at Slitherine, Matrix, etc. is Major SNAFU, yet when you type it into the box on either ipad all of the letters of the username are Capitalized, regardless of the "state" of the keyboard. It is impossible to enter "Major SNAFU" into the dialog box in the iPad. regardless of the keyboard shift/no shift it always appears in the dialog box as "MAJOR SNAFU". If this is also the case for the password, then this would be the issue - but there is no way for me to verify or override this and the password is masked. If this the case, then if I change my password to have all caps, then this should resolve this problem perhaps. In addition, the username does not appear to be case sensitive. I can use "MAJOR snafu", "major snafu" or "Major SNAFU" and they all work.
4) This is the exact sequence. I start BA. I click on the multiplayer button. The next screen says, at the top, "GAME NOT REGISTERED TO AN ACCOUNT, [sic] IF YOU HAVE AND ACCOUNT, ENTER YOUR DETAILS HERE."
Below are two boxes:
I type "MAJOR SNAFU" into the box that says login
I put in the password provided by Joe in the Password box.
I close the kepboard (because otherwise you can't click on the green check icon)
a red box appear that says "MISSING_IDS_LOGIN_ERROR-10"
This happens every time on both iPads.
If there is a step I am missing, etc. Please let me know.

Hello Major SNAFU,
I've just logged into the iPad version to test the capitalisation, and the password is not all uppercase. Although the password is hidden in the app, when you are typing the password above the keypad in the autocomplete area you can see what you have written. However I will wait for the admins to contact me back anyway, to ensure there are no issues on the account or the server which may be causing the issue.

As Joe says, we will ask the server team to specifically look in to what is happening when you try and login. Sorry for the inconvenience.
