1/4 Final I'll be knocked out due to batesy's stubborness with morale min our first game and my ineptitude in the second.
Thanks for the games Chris
rexhurley (Mameluke E) 38/40 (should have been 29ish) bt batesmotel (Turks) 43/41
The margin in the reverse is massively in favour of Chris.
On to the next version of FOGD where hopefully the dice arent so variable!

Pool B
MikeMarchant's Latin Greeks (41/42) beat Praeter's Medieval Cypriots (42/41)
A very close game that I thought I was losing practically the whole way through. Thanks for the game Praeter.
Best Wishes

If neither player contacted me, I just declared it a draw. Overall, not the best tournament for completed matches but I think this is more the result of only few players, combined with the holiday break. Thank you to everyone who has been eliminated thus far for participating and be on the look-out for my next themed tournament to begin in early February with an Immortal Fire theme.
Good luck to all quarter-finalists. Please begin your matches.

Re: Swords & Scimitars tournament - main thread/post results
Yuknoom's Syrians 24/40 60% beat Londo's Seljuks 38/38 100%.
As the deadline has passed, though we did start a couple of days late, I will add that in the second game Londo's Syrians are beating my Seljuks, and there is no way i am getting to 50% casualties on his side. So if you wish to move him on while we finish up that would be reasonable.

QF 2nd game
PeterGuest (Middle Serbian) defeats Stockwellpete (Georgian) 24/43 vs 48/42
1 game each, but think I win on overall losses over the 2 games - 73% vs 78% (Jonathan to confirm my maths ...)
Thanks to Pete for 2 very good games

Re: Swords & Scimitars tournament - main thread/post results
Yuknoom gave me a right walloping in our first game as detailed above. I returned the favour in the reverse game ...
Londo (Syrian States) 14/50 - Yuknoom (Seljuk Turks) 36/34
Syrians > Turks evidently.

Re: Swords & Scimitars tournament - main thread/post results
Semi-final result
In the Grisly Georgian Civil War, PeterGuest's defenders of truth and justice beat paulmcneil's forces of chaos and despair 18/39 vs 47/41 and 9/39 vs 39/35.
The righteous made the most of the advantage of the terrain, leaving the armies of darkness with two literally uphill (and woody) battles.
Thanks for the games Paul
