Pandora always crashes when trying to enter MP game lobby

Hi!

I just bought Pandora - First Contact but I'm unable to test a multiplayer game as the game crashes as soon as I try to enter the game lobby.
Attached are the game log files and the error message.

Another point: if I try to set up a game through a direct connect, I cannot invite friends via Steam: get the notificatin that the game is not connected to the Steam server...

I also got a steam key for the game - but I cannot even start the game via steam. here I get an API error message

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your game.
These issues seem to be related with security and/or user privileges.
Is the game installation folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\....?
If that's the case, please try to install it in a folder like for example C:\Games\....

yes, the problem was indeed the user privileges. I installed the game with admin rights but it did not work.

If I start the game with my admin account nearl all is fine: the game starts with steam and I can invite friends from steam if I open a direct game.
What still does not work is entering the game lobby - but now I get a different error message. attached are the log files as well. any ideas?

Please try login to the lobby with your Internet Security programs (anti-virus, firewall, etc.) temporarily disabled and check if the issue persists.

yes, I disabled the anti-virus and the firewall, but the game still crashes when I try to enter the game lobby.

Do you have any other security program? Because something seems to be blocking the lobby entry...

Not that I'm aware of...

but my first MP game with direct connect worked very nicely and without any problems. So, I guess, I'll stick to that as it is my prefered option anyway.

It seems you were connecting to a game that has the Eclipse of Nashira DLC, the referred "Diplomatic" faction is added by the DLC. Make sure you only connect clients of the same version.
