Victory hex query.

Do my units have to remain in a hex to claim it? Or do I ha e to keep them in for a turn and change icon to imperium to claim it?

It becomes yours the moment you unselect the unit that stopped on it.. Note that the unit must stop at the point- passing through will do nothing.

Ok, so the following turn I can leave the hex and it is still classed as mine for victory purposes?
