leaving building

Post by deadtorius »

Just want to get some thoughts on this.
In todays game the French chased a unit of Russian conscripts out of a building, so they pursued into the building. Next move they popped out of the building right beside a unit of Russian infantry, almost ended touching it and a base back from the Russians front so in flank shot position, and beside a Russian artillery battery. I am certain the rules don't put restrictions on leaving buildings when enemy is about, I just found it an odd situation is all. Any thoughts appreciated thanks.

I had a similar thing happen when my Prussian Landwehr popped out of a building onto the flank of a Russian unit (why are we both picking on the Russians...?). We didn't see anything wrong with the situation. I suppose you need to be careful sidling past buildings.

One of those well I certainly didnt expect that move. It just so happened there was just enough room between my infantry unit and the artillery for them to fit there. Plan A had called for the stupid conscripts to hold longer but how often do you take 4 close range hits while in a building?
