Are my Hero's really doubling?

Hello to All.
My Hero's are doubling and even tripling! What I mean is that all my hero's are the same, for example one of my units now has +1 movement/+1 initiative for all three of that units hero's. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sure that this is statistically almost impossible.
Very strange! I am running the very excellent/awesome GTPG mod.

I don't know how to make heroes behave normally, but if you edited one of the files to make a hero requirement some insane thing like 10k kills, then you can't really get the problem (No heroes at all though)

One time I had four SE grenadiers with matching sets of stats, and another time all my captured Char B1 (three I think) had +2 Attack heroes.

With only a limited range of heroes available, getting a repeat set is more likely than most of us would expect, but getting a matched set on three or more separate units in the same class is pretty amazing.

Well its good to know I'm not the only with this problem. (I guess? )
Must be some sort of bug.
I wonder if the Devs are aware?
I don't know why, but this bug really gets under my skin, to the point where I'm going to figure out how to disable Hero's altogether.

A flamm with 2 +4 defnces?
or a Pz3 with 2x +2 attack AND 1+ move in the same hero? (+4 attack and +2 move?)

I don't think these are normal.

I thought you'd meant statistical quirks, but that doesn't sound at all normal!

I only ever play on PC and have only ever had standard hero awards of 1 to 3 A or D, and +1 on IN, Range, Move or (lucky me) spotting and the special units that sometimes come with multi-attribute heroes. Sounds like it could be something to do with Steam or with version 1.23.

Yeah, check this out.
I've got a FJ unit with 3 hero's, each one is Attack+4/Defense+1.
My PzII Flamm has 3 hero's, each one is Attack+4/Move+1.
This is definitely not normal.
I'm using v1.22, btw. Come to think of it, I don't recall this problem with earlier versions.
Anyway, now I need to figure out how to disable hero's.
