Core within a Core

Post by PanzerTax »

I haven't quite had time to try 40K:Armageddon and concentrate on it yet, but despite seeing a lot of criticisms I am still excited by what I see and I am pleased the developers are interested in it too.

One of my most exciting experiences from Panzer Corps and its predecessors for me was the management and development of the core force. If work is still continuing, is this element a big consideration?

Panzer Corps and People's General were unique and interesting by having those special core units e.g. the SE Grenadiers etc and the People's General prototype units that did not count against the soft cap. The units were important and special, but came without being unbalanced on the battlefield, which was really sensible.

With large powerful units, is there an opportunity to create a limit to how many you can have, or inflate their 'slot' occupancy more than small units?

I think the above was mentioned already, but I am keen to hear more about the game and its future, it sounds great.

Cheers

At the moment its 1 unit equals 1 slot. As there is a limited number of slots, this system comes in for a fair bit of criticism. This is due to there being limited incentive to buy cheaper units.

However the developers seem to be addressing this by balancing the requisition for each scenario. I still dont think this fully addresses the issue, but it goes some way to balancing it.
