some multiplayer questions

Post by bram1979 »

I'm working on a tournament based on the TT. Wich means that players get to pick a core force and play 3 battles using that core force.
(more details will follow once I have the rules ready and fine-tuned)

But I would like to know this:
1: can players use the TAU and Nids mods in multiplayer?
2: can you have deployment zones in multiplayer? I can't seem to set them in the editor (so I probably know the awnser  )

1. The Tau mod is currently mostly tau looking units using weapons currently ingame, and the nids are skins without weapons or stats atm. As long as the person who issues the challenge has modified their game to allow them to be used though you should be able to. It may not show in the other guy's game correctly.
2. Yes, its the down arrows and you have to lay them down. Its is probably best to build your own maps for a game resembling tabletop. That way you can separate the spacemarines and Steel Legion or separate particular chapters up.

1: I know they are WIP I just wold like to know if they would work for MP.

2: I'm working on my own map. I have all the other details already figured out. Just need to find out how this arrow thing works.

1. Have both players get the mod and it should work perfectly fine.
2. It should work easily, just put them down. Did you set the sides in scenario parameters? Did you set it for custom armies? Both of those may be problems.

Thanks mate! I have loads of experience with hosting online tournaments. I play a game called Combat Missions and I've hosted several tournaments and campaigns. Also I've hosted many Flames of War tournaments (that is a TT game).

Once I have figured out the minor details I shall proceed with this project.
