Hat plastic figures in the UK

Post by WhiteKnight »

Am planning to build an Indian force but want to get elephants in plastic as a cheaper option. I have a couple from a maker HAT which are ok. Any other manufacturers folk know of? Also, HAT dont appear to produce Indian cavalry, does anyone else, or in metal but at 20mm or 1/72 scale?

Thanks
Martin

I recommend the following site for this sort of query:

Thanks, Quintus, a most comprehensive site!

Is there a similar one for stockists/importers of these ranges? 'Scuse my ignorance, but since the heady days of Airfix, I haven't dabbled in such plastic delights!!!

You're welcome.

I use http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk.

Bear in mind that postage is a set fee so make the most of it and place a large order rather than a small one if you can.

In the past I have bought plastic figures mail order from Harfields http://www.harfields.com/ I don't know how they compare.

Thank you both, I have found exactly what I wanted between these two stockists, and at a lower price than I expected having enquired at a recent show!

Thank you guys!

I found my Hät boxes at a lower price than in France!

My roman army will be mine soon! :P

:?: One question's pending: 15mm or 25mm bases?
Remark: I can base for the 15mm scale and adapt to the 25mm too...

What do you think?

It will have to be 25mm bases.

I did experiment with Hat figures on 15mm bases and while some poses will fit it is really cramped, some poses simply won't fit at all on 15mm bases. 25mm is the way to go.

For the painting, here's a 'How to' webpage very well documented:

Good reading and painting!
