Fatal application

Post by rich12545 »

Playing the first scenario in the tutorial. Attacked an enemy unit. Got this error and crashed. Played with the patch.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your game.
Could you please attach a DxDiag report file to your message?

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8)
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. Attach the file to your message

Where do you have your game installed? In which folder?

Please open the folder where the game is installed and rename the subfolder named "Audio" to "_Audio".
Run the game and check if the issue persists.

I went five turns without a crash. Of course I had no sound and no battle animation.

I don't recall anything. Win7 was just installed this last Friday. The latest nvidia driver was installed also. I just looked at my installed programs and except for adobe flash and nvidia I didn't see anything video related.

Could you also please attach the error.log file to you message?
You can find that file on Documents\My Games\Warhammer 40,000 Armageddon.
I've asked the developer to take a look at your issue.

That's a relief to hear. Just remember we will try and help with technical issues, but such issues often take time to properly detect, analyze, and repair!
