Could someone help me? I'm new to the game and I'm not able to play both allies and axis in the scenarios.
Is there somewhere where you choose which side to play?
Thanks in advance.

You can't play as both allies and axis in a scenario
It's either playing as the allies or axis in a scenario

The only way to play both sides is to create a MP game with a password and then accept it yourself, you also need to modify your user.txt as below...Newbie wrote:Could someone help me? I'm new to the game and I'm not able to play both allies and axis in the scenarios.

Go to your USER.txt file in Documents\My Games\BBCBA
Open with Notepad and add the line ALLOWMPHOTSEAT 1
This only works for MP games...not for any Campaigns...
Re: Newbie Help!
Sorry. Bad question.
How do I choose to play EITHER allies or axis in any particular scenario or campaign?
I always get defaulted to allies except in France 1940 campaign.
Thanks again.

Re: Newbie Help!
All campaigns and scenarios are hard coded to a particular side.
Re: Newbie Help!
Thanks.
In reading the forums, it seems like people talk about the victory criteria for one side or the other being more difficult. As if they can play either side.

It is possible that some of those comments are related to user scenarios or MP games...Newbie wrote:Thanks.

Yes, those comments are in regard to multiplayer scenarios, which allow you to play either side.Newbie wrote:Thanks.

All of the single-player campaigns and scenarios are hard coded to be played from only the player side (which ever the designer designated)

Can you please provide more info on playing hotseat? I made the addition quoted above to the USER.txt file, but do not see how to accept my own challenge.
Thanks!

Re: Newbie Help!
The way I normally do it is to create a challenge and give it a password. Go to the Accept Challenge tab, find your challenge, click on the Accept Challenge button at the bottom, click yes to accept, type in your password. The game should now show up in My Games tab...
