It has been 5 weeks (more or less) since the latest update. I hope things are progressing to the developers satisfaction, but could you share a bit of info on the progress?

The Japanese campaign is pretty much completed now, and we are hoping to finish the remainder of the US campaign by the end of the year. In the meantime, true to this thread's title, a set of of very random screenshots:

You get to fight into New Zealand? Is that the end of the Japanese campaign?

In your screenshots I see that some hexes contain settlements, but have no flag. What is their relevance? (both the standing flags and the settlements that have none)

Also, is that a german flag in the interface of the last shot?

New Zealand is the penultimate scenario of the Japanese campaign. Fictional "what-if" victorious outcome of course.

Settlements with flags provide supply and can be used to deploy new units in. Without a flag they are just another terrain type.

The German flag is there if you pick the "Wolfpack" specialisation during the Japanese campaign, which adds 2 German U-boats to you core forces. This was actualy featured in an old thread:

Right, I just thought it was a one time event. It`s cool that you can take them along. How far west would the japanese campaign go? I`m curious if you can get to India or even the Middle East and maybe even Madagascar.

The base game does not cover the war in East Asia, only the battles in the central and Southern Pacific. It would just be too much content to cover properly (we've already at ~30 scenarios). This part of the conflict, focusing on the British and Chinese will likely be covered in an expansion.

Cos they "sit in the middle" between DD's and CA's we decided not to include these as a separate class and invest our time into the more distinctive classes instead. We do have a generic "light cruiser" as mentioned above, but no unique units per side at the moment. Perhaps something to extend after the game initial release.

I've just noticed this game and it looks really good. I'm actually glad that the release date is pushed back a bit, as I only just bought Armageddon, so want to get some time in on that before pushing onto this one. Looking forward to tomorrow's live preview of the game (although i will not be watching it live as i am in Japan, which means its on at 4am my time!)
