Personnel from game to game
Personnel from game to game
Question concerning the SET, MC, and Astronaut personnel when playing game to game. I generally play single player in both sandbox and campaign mode and would like to know if the above personnel are randomly generated with each new game or do the same names come up every time in the same succession. And are their qualifications the same each time or are they also randomly generated each new playing. Really enjoy playing this and mixing up the different modes of getting to the moon, and I have learned a lot about the Soviet space program that I never knew. Thanks.
Re: Personnel from game to game
Hello,
The skills of the personnel are definitively random-generated. Well, of course there are "rules" that balance that random-generation, but you'll get different results each game.
Glad you liked the Soviet program, put a lot of myself into it

Is Yuri Gagarin the only cosmonaut with a portrait? I recognize some of the Silhouettes (Tereshkovka as one of the female cosmonaut silhouettes), but I can only see Gagarin's smiling face. Was this because of licensing issues?
Re: Personnel from game to game
Hello kongxinga,
We're planning to add a few more cosmonaut pictures in a future patch. We're still trying to license the NASA ones, though we don't have any news to report on that front.
Cheers,

You would think there wouldnt be any licensing issues considering these people are all famous public people from human history. I mean you dont have to pay licensing fees to use a portrait of Churchill in a wargame so why are there licensing issues with famous astronauts? I would have thought any famous people who are well known historical public figures (and no longer alive) are fair game for use in games, But there you go its a weird and sad world we live in when such things are a commercial issue.
