Population/Army cap considerations

Post by Utumano1990 »

I have noticed playing MP that you are given some army unit limit, usually about 30, limiting how many units you can field at any one point in time.

This is a good idea in principle, to force some strategic thought into army organisation and to prevent the game from being clogged with too many units, causing lag. But ones thing that is quite odd, is how the fact that these points are distributed equiproportionally so that if you purchase a gretchin mob, then that is 1 army population cap point, and if you purchase a gargant, that is also 1 army population cap point. Perhaps forcing a higher costs on different unit types would allow for massed infantry forces to become an option in the game.

What do you guys think?

Cheers

Nice it would make the ork strategy of sending waves of gretchins to soak enemy dakka a viable strategy.
