locate strab misison help

OK so I have searched all cap points on the locate strab mission killed the unit there and capped. The turns run out and the mission ends in defeat, I assumed he might be at the bottom VP but no hes not there or anywhere else.

Some of the capped points behind me get recapped, prob by sniper units left behind, not sure if you need to hold all vp hexes mission objectives just say locate and kill strab.

Any help would be appreciated.

That von Strab is definitely a slippery one. In fact every time you play this mission, his location actually changes. We tightened his possible locations near the end of BETA, but it still takes a bit of searching to pin him down. I recommend using fast and light scouts to check all corners of the map, especially bottom left and bottom right, when searching for your target.

I replayed five times as a test and he appears in almost the exact spot each time. What is the random proximity?

I never checked extreme borrom left of the map as it was no where near a victory hex. I assumed he must be near one.

I recommend using 15+ titans, and you can breeze over this mission.

I used 5 titans and had no problem with enemy units. Just couldnt find strab at any vps

When I played the mission, I split my titans into two groups and sent one south-ish and one north-ish to clear out all the victory hexes. The last victory hex I cleared out was the one in the north eastern corner, and Von Strab appeared once I started firing upon the units there.

Yeah that was the second vp i cleared out after the bridge. I went north to south with 2 groups. Is he really obvious? Does a message flash on the screen when he appears?

There is no message,since he will already be on the map somewhere. Once i found him near the southernmost VP, the other time half way between that and the Northeast VP
