Difference between Grand Campaign and "regular" campaigns?

Hi all! I have recently downloaded the PC series and really enjoying it so far (brings back so many great memories from Panzer General II ). I was wondering if there was any difference between the "Grand Campaigns" and what I refer to as "regular" ones. For instance, on the basic Panzer Corps section, I can select 1939 - Early Blitzkrieg (which reads 1939-1945 in the picture and indicates it starts with the invasion of Poland) or I can go the "classified" folder and choose Grand Campaign '39 (Polish invasion, etc.).

So what is the difference?

Can both end up invading the US/UK ect? I seem to recall doing that in one of the campaigns in PG II.

Hello Jester09, the choices for the regular Panzer Corps campaigns only change your starting point. So all scenarios are the same, but you can choose when to start. And yes, you can end up invading the UK and USA (you can check the campaign path in the game library) in the 'vanilla' campaign.

The Grand Campaigns (GC) are a bit different. There are 10 in total, one for each year of the war and in 1942 there is a split in West and East. The Grand Campaigns are much more rigid in nature, and although they have branches, if you go East you can't change the course of the war and will end up defending Berlin. The West GC's are a bit more flexible, GC 1945 West allows you to invade the UK if you are succesful.

Also, there is a separate campaign for Africa (Afrika Korps or AK), this does not intersect with any existing content and can end up with ahistorical scenarios in the Middle East and even further. Allied Corps (AC) is another stand-alone expansion, with a few ahistorical scenarios as well.
