Challenge don't show

A very odd issue

A opened a challenge as show in image 1, but the other player can see it, tried on PC and iPad (image 2).
The challenge is still open, did you see it?

I just looked and I am not seeing it either...

I see my challenge posted, but it seems other's can't.

If they have slightly different versions (IIRC the map CRCs need to match) then challenges will be silently hidden (it is part of the cheat prevention).

But this is not the case.
I tried deleting my scenario from MULTIPLAYER and downloading again from the same .lst link, and I see the challenge that others players downloading the same link don't.

I tried it out here and it all seems to be fine, I can create a challenge on Mac and see it fine on PC. Both standard and user. Are there any odd chars or spaces etc in the folder name?

Yes, we are testing several scenarios since we have the MacOS version, so it works ok usually.

No, all is the same as in older version 1.0a1, 1.0a2, etc.

The issue is in the latest version 1.0a4, and until now all worked ok, the only changes in the latest version are some infantry removed on Russian side.
The strange think is that if I download the linked version I see the challenge, but if others download the same link don't see it. (this makes no sense for me).

Did you tried to download the linked scenario: Tractor Works?
I will left open the challenge to investigate what's going on it's opening data is 18-November, The Tractor Works

I continue to experiment that situation. I opened two matches but my opponent don't see them, he has had to open the matches to be able to play, because I see when others open a match.
I send him the scenario so it's the same.

They are still opened "Channels" did you see them Pip? you should see them as Unknown custom scenario.

I think matches opened from a Mac are not showed in the list to others players.

You mean challenges that are accepted BY a Mac are not shown on other devices? I think I tested that, but I will recheck.

No, challenges created by MAC are not seen in the challenge list. I am on PC and cannot see Enric's challenges. But, he can see the ones I created and accepted them.

I think challenges creates on Mac are seen by other Macs but not for iPad or PC, but challenges created on PC are seen by everybody.
I can't test all because I've no access to PC.

I have tested creating both core and custom challenges on OSX and can see them fine on PC and iPad. There must be something specific to the mod you are trying to use.

We have made a new test:
There are two challenges opened by myself from a scenario: "Channels".
In another Mac, where that scenario is not installed yet, we see, in the list," unknown scenario" must download , etc.
Then downloaded the link.
Checking the list again and these challenges have been gone away.
Then removed from MULTIPLAYER the folder CHANNELS recent downloaded.
Checking again the list, and then again, the list show the two challenges as

unknown

.

Then go to my Mac (the original) from which I opened and see the challenges
Removed the folder CHANNELS from MULTIPLAYER (the original that generates the .cpf file)
Check the list and the two challenges show as

unknown

Then downloaded the link so a clean new scenario folder is downloaded.
And I see the challenges normally.

Any idea? it's probably my fault, but currently I'm lost.

something odd...I can see the Bagration Village fight scenario challenge that enric posted today...just not his custom scenario?

- I open a challenge and no one see it
- others open the challenge and I see it

The scenario works normal.

Hi Pip,

I'VE FOUND THE BUG
It's a very, very rare bug.

I explain my normal procedure since BA1 to now:
1) I use to develop a scenario in the CAMPAIGN folder, (scripting, maps, etc)
2) When ready I copy to to the MULTIPLAYER folder, create the .CPF and .LST and release it.
3) During play, if we found some issues, I modify the scenario in the CAMPAIGN folder
4) When ready for a new version I delete the old version of the scenario from the MULTIPLAYER and go to 2.

On the Mac (I don't know if it happens in PC) if you open a challenge of a scenario that you have a copy (equal or not) in your CAMPAIGN folder, the challenge is only seen by yourself, either in another Mac or in an iPad, but not for others players either Mac, PC, iPad.

I tested in deep and I'm sure. Even without quitting BA2, if you remove the scenario from the campaign folder, and then open again a challenge then the last one is seen for everybody but not the first.
