Troubling Upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1

I am playing a series of multi-player games. I attempted to load those games and received a message saying my version (1.0) does not match the PBEM server 1.1 version. I restarted the games, got to the game menu and hit update. I got an error message :Runtime error: abnormal program termination. What should I do?

Please try updating your game manually and download the patch from the link below:

ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/BuzzAldri ... p-v110.zip

Unzip the downloaded file. Run the extracted file to update the game.

Yes I just downloaded and installed manually ...didn't see the posts above that it was available for manual install but good to go now ...Thanks !!

I tried the auto-updater on 2 different machines. A desktop and laptop, both running the same OS (Win 8.1). It worked fine on the desktop but on the laptop I ended up with the error mentioned here. I was able to manually install the update on the laptop but the auto-updater is still corrupt there. This means all future updates will have to be done manually on that machine. Is there going to be a way to fix this?

Tried the above but that would not run. Could not find the version number. I have downloaded the Patch1.1 and tried to do it manually, but, I did not receive any CD key with my Steam Version, so that will not run. Contacted Steam, who knows if I will ever hear back from them. Just getting to the point of my first moon landing and now the game will not even load.

Do you have the Steam version? If that's the case you don't need to patch it as Steam client updates automatically the game.

I have the Steam version. The game did the patch automatically, but, now the game stops responding once it gets past the Slitherine splash and the startup video.
