Gates of Troy, Trojan War scenario

Post by joseph_kerr »

This is a minor one turn problem apparently so it's not a big deal. I'm playing the Trojan war scenario with Pelegasian nobles and when i attacked Troy itself the game crashed. It doesn't have anything to do with 2d or 3d because it crashed in both. I say it seems to be a one turn problem because when i waited a couple of turns and attacked again there weren't any problems, so i'm just curious if anyone has any idea of why this would happen. I'm including this picture because it shows the only abnormality i could see on the screen where you prepare for battle.

The usual unit box doesnt appear to be under the pelegaesian nobles.

Sorry, i didn't want to put up a big huge picture of the whole screen so it's not as obvious with just that little corner but it's the Trojan leader, he has that huge blue outline instead of the normal little square surrounding him.

In fact, looking at that picture again you can see his blue outline is actually pushing over his side of the battlefield into the no man's land, is that what could be shutting the game down?

Ahh I see. We've never seen this before. It looks like some random memory issue. It could be a bug or some corruption in a saved game or data file. If it is repeatable on other PC's from a saved game we can try and fix it, but as its already disappeared we'll probably have no luck. Sometimes these errors are symptoms of a problem that happened earlier. It may already be past the point where we can see what caused the problem.
