Tanks and their Guns, e.g. Pz IIIJ

Hello:

It looks like the Pz IIIJ in the game (that I have seen) has the short-barreled gun (the KwK-38 L42?? a 50mm one ???). Is the IIIJ with the long-barreled gun in the game also (the L60 50mm??). Any help appreciated.

I know BA2 is for a wide variety of players but I would like the name of the Gun displayed in game w/o clicking CTRL-Click. It really help me with immersion.

Hi,

The only PzIII with the long barreled 50mm currently in game is the PzIII M. We opted not to have the PzIII J long barreled for simplicities sake (it was getting hard to fit the name on the UI). However, reassesing the various sites on PzIII, I think our labelling of the model for the PzIII M may not be accurate. It should really be a PzIII L as (I think) the M had side armour panels? I can't keep track of the number of varients any more . . .
