Hey everyone
I've been having trouble figuring out how to get some units in the random skirmish mode.
For example, playing early war Russia, I often can have swarms of KV-2s, yet at most one KV-1. Likewise, I've noticied the random list often lets you hire many OT-34s but rarely gives the option to have a regular T-34 (or at least, more than one).
Is there a way to enable unlimited unit selection by year in the skirmish list? I would love to at least once try a T-34 swarm in a game.

Re: Units in skirmish random list mode
I'm currently playing in a round robin with three others. Thankfully in each round we are playing one game as Soviet and one as German. We selected March 1943 (very large forces/map) as the date for our Skirmish games (symmetric/random army list). Using this date certainly seems to put the Soviet at a distinct disadvantage. In two of my games vs a German player I'm having to deal with 5-7 Tiger tanks, Marders I's and III's and/or some Stugs or PzIIIJ's. As the Soviet player I have KV-2's, KV-1's, T-26's and maybe a small number of T34s. Needless to say the firepower is heavily on the German side and its hard for the Soviet to field a numerically superior force to have a chance to deal with them. I'm certainly not the best of players but it seems almost impossible to compete as the Soviet player using March 43 as the starting date. Maybe we just need to adjust the date but I do think the army lists allow the German to purchase too many Tigers.
Re whthvn's comment about regular T34s: I've played many skirmish games and rarely see any regular T34 tanks at all.
Update: Just ran several skirmish games as a test first looking at the Soviet side and then the German side. The German never got less than 4 Tigers and had as many as 6. The Soviet side twice got to purchase 1 or 2 T34 1943s and the rest were KV-1/2s, T-70s and a few OT-34's on occasion. If I pushed the date up to September 1943 the Soviet would occasionally get a SU-152 and/or a SU-122. Maybe the Soviet tanks need to be cheaper and biased more toward T-34 1943s or something similar if playing an earlier date. The T-34 was the mainstay of the Soviet tank forces was it not?

Re: Units in skirmish random list mode
I won't pretend to know exactly how the skirmish mode works but the times I've played as a German defender, with a 1943 mechanized army or a Waffen SS corps the ratios seemed to be pretty bang on. Think I had 2-3 Tigers, 3 PzIVs and a Marader III as well as some half tracks and very limited infantry, even with large force sizes. The Soviet side had about 3 IS tanks, 4 T34/85s and I think one other armoured vehicle I can't remember off the top of my head. So the date definitely plays a part in it, as well as what type of army you choose to have your forces based on. The T34 was the mainstay of the Red Army yes, so if you're playing post 1943 there should be swarms of T34s on the Soviet side.
However when doing the exact same skirmish mode just having German attacking forces, my numbers ballooned and I walked right through Soviet defenses.
Also what is the deal with the customize forces ability. It seems as though its stuck on a certain value and when I try to adjust it points just disappear. Even if I try to put those points back to the side it was taken away from. It gets to the point where both sides are at 0 lol. Though maybe I should state I'm on an Ipad.

This is a known issue I believe and one that hopefully gets fixed soon.
