Missing units in the editor

Post by Aryaman »

Hi
I have noticed some missing units in the editor, for instance there are no Veteran Later Tercio nor Spanish Tercio Viejo, can this be somehow fixed?

The units are divided into two factions, side0 and side1. The Spanish units are in the second faction only, so are normally only available to side1.

If you want to use them for side0, you have to have a Sides.txt file in your campaign which reverses the unit sets. (/My Documents/My Games/Campaigns/MyCampaignName/Sides.txt)

If you look in your main installation in /PikeandShot/CaMpaigns/1ThirtyYearsYear you will find a file called Sides (reversed).txt. Copy this to your custom campaign folder and change the name to Sides.txt. This will reverse the unit sets so you can have the Spanish as Side0.

Note that you will need to remove any units from a scenario that has been started without using the reversed sides.txt or things may be a bit screwy. Actually, I am not entirely sure whether this last point is true - you just might be able to use it to set up a scenario with side1 faction units (e.g. Tercios Viejos and Polish Winged Hussars) on both sides, by switching Sides.txt files after placing each side's units, but I have not tried it to see if it works correctly.
