Astronaut Communication

Post by cptbill911 »

It seems communications between ground and the astronauts has been removed during flights that made it even better. Is there a plan to return this to the game. It really helped the realism during the missions.

I also feel the lack of voices while in space stages.

Hi,

Can you provide one or two examples of mission with the problem (indicate rocket/capsule and mission) ?

Thanks

In the Mercury orbital mission there is no communication between astronaut (John Glenn) stating capsule is turning around-it used to be there now is gone. Same for spacewalk in Gemini. Used to be communication when the astronaut left the capsule-now only the music and sound effects. It's like the communication program has been removed from the game.

I'd like that - like the little "One small step for (a) man" speech. And Buzz's little joke as he's exiting the LM: "Closing the hatch... being sure not to lock it on the way out..."

Please test this mercury mission, I add the missing audio clip and some more for more communication saturation.

Updated 13 nov 2014 - startime correction

Cheers

Hi,

For the Gemini missions, I didn't find it ? I check every Gemini missions that have EVA, all of them are voiced.

But I agree that's too quiet... :-)

I re-ran the very first Gemini spacewalk mission and, again, had music and sound effects but no comms between the spacewalker and mission control. Before there was comms between mission control and the astronaut.

Hello cptbill911,

You mean that you hear no astronaut communications during all the manned missions, right ?

If yes, that's a bug and I think I see what it is.
