See the "Upcoming Computer Games" section below this one, third item down. It's got "The History Channel" in the name, so it may not be instantly obvious. They're currently recruiting "victims" for a beta test in the next few weeks, so the game is actually pretty far along in development.

This.

Also, add cavalry bowman (or mounted archer, or how does it call in english) and if you're about to give us additional nations, than I ask for GREEKS!!! Oh, since the humble beginnings more than 2000 years BC, until late Byzantine empire - huh, smells like a solid campaign!

Some additional troops, maybe? I've heard that camel riders would be sightly... ;-) Also chariots or some field battle machines (not catapults, of course, but some easy ballistaes) could be useful.

Some minor bugs that pestered me:
- the "draw up" bug. When I right-click enemy missile troops with Nobles, those archers tend to shoot one last arrow and than they blindly run to the horseman, even though the Nobles are already engaged in fight, moreover half a mile away.
- That famous city was called "Carthage" nor "Cathage". :-P

Graphic could be improved a bit. Even just a spleshes of different color or simple textures would make it totally different experience. Meadows, squares, stubble-field, etc. as an open space, anything from forest to ruins as difficult terrain. Also those 10 000 cloned warriors look silly... :-D I know that LA is not about graphics, but making five or so really different craniofacial models with about ten really different textures (from somehow uniform shaved roman soldiers, to bearded german warriors that none looks like another one) is not that hard, imho.

On a similar note: I'd like to fight amongst ruins and even conquer villages (not necessarily cities). Not that they need to look like 3D model of living Rome in 100BC, but just a few buildings, gates and walls like those that represent camps in some of the LA scenarios will be nice. E.g.: Scenarios like "Defiant Farmers" will be much more realistic, when the farmers will in fact defend their homes and even take a recluse behind a simple pallisade when things go wrong.

Just ideas.

I'd also like to see a sequel based on the Ancient history with Greeks, maybe Egyptians...that and a return to the previous game system (moving on diagonals, no pauses, no cards).

I wouldn't mind if it was done on the old engine, maybe with only larger maps and more divisions to control.

Cheers

PS: Great battles of the MA is not really a sequel as it is set in another time period.

Yes...GotMA looks very nice indeed...it's a very fun game but with a more turn-based approach.
