Genghis Khan Mongols?

Post by OrkConvert »

Was just reading Conn Iggulden's Genghis books -- great stuff! Are these going to be covered by a future book?

Mongol troops

Post by WhiteKnight »

Mongols in these rules?

A mixture of LH Bow/Sw and Cav Bow/Sw? (Will any be permitted light lance...Lance/Bow*/Sw?)

Mostly "superior" with one BG "elite" as guards?

The allied and subject troops fro the steppes as similar but a grade lower.."average"?

I think that's how I would categorise them, but would be interested to hear other views.

The Mongol troops will be very similar (identical?) to those in the Ilkhanid Mongol army in Swords and Scimitars. We have not yet decided on classifications for the Chinese troops incorporated after initial conquests.

Will the Khitan's be included in the list?? I hope as they account for 1/3 of my Mongol army.

Well we haven't done the list yet. It will include the troops that the army included historically. We haven't done the Khitan list at all yet, so it remains to be seen exactly how these will be classified.

Hmm....i'd hope mostly 'Average' with some superior options and maybe an elite guard.
