Thanks, Best!
Group C table updated: http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 85#p489384
It's now only a matter of 1st and 2nd place in group C. And Zarevic must win both his games 4-0. Very exciting!

As you can see in the table, my dastardly opponents sent a tourney-leading 166 truck attacks at me. It's a wonder I'm alive to carry on

How about our recruiting slogan in Group C?cavehobbit wrote:You should have a special prize for most killed trucks!jcb989 wrote:As you can see in the table, my dastardly opponents sent a tourney-leading 166 truck attacks at me. It's a wonder I'm alive to carry on![]()
"Truck drivers wanted: increase your chances of getting out alive, drive for Group C"

On a serious note; exciting indeed about the final results for Group C! Still undecided!? Good games all around.

Well JCB, I wasn't too far behind you on 163. Although my indirect fire did find your truck depots on few occasionsjcb989 wrote:As you can see in the table, my dastardly opponents sent a tourney-leading 166 truck attacks at me. It's a wonder I'm alive to carry on

So let me get this straight, you managed to win so many games even though they attacked you with so many trucks?jcb989 wrote:As you can see in the table, my dastardly opponents sent a tourney-leading 166 truck attacks at me. It's a wonder I'm alive to carry on

*** Tournament news ***
Hi all,
The games between Zarevic and Dickeskind in group C have about 3 turns left. As I understand it looks like a 4-0 win for Zarevic in both games and these results will last. This means Zarevic will get his 8 flags and snatch 1st place from Brummbar and we can start the semi-finals. As soon as I get home I will sort this out.

Woah, Zarevic is underestimating my ability to organize a huge counterattack!

Re: 2nd FGH'40 Tournament
Congrats Zarevic! Again, great games all around...so now onto the next round.
Is it played the same as the previous round but with just the one scenario this time? i.e. I'll be playing all of the opponents listed?
Looking forward to it, my early bird wrap up in the first round has left me out of playing for quite some time!
Good luck all!

It's time for the semi-final! These are the games that will be played (my missus has randomly drawn your names from the hat, blame her if you don't like who you're up against
):
A-final (1st places in group games, playing for place 1-4)
Zarevic - KingT
Glenghiscan - Avisnigra
B-final (2nd places in group games, playing for place 5-8)
Cavehobbit - Peterjfrigate
Brummbar - Jcb
C-final (3rd places in group games, playing for place 9-12)
Collier - Hogbar
Best - Burgot
D-final (4th places in group games, playing for place 13-16)
Wegeberg - Random
Dickeskind - Scole
All games in the semi-final round will be played as a mirror game on Walshoutem. Most total flags wins in each group will play the final on Poucet. Same number of flags held, most total armour killed, then infantry will be deciders. Losers in each group will play the final map as well to decide the final ranking.
You have about two weeks to finish your two semi-final games. The results of the games must be posted 20 November. Any player may post challenges.
Good luck and have fun!

Re: 2nd FGH'40 Tournament
Nice result there in group C, it probably was the closest ever in tourney mode.
Anyway, GG all, and I'll see you Zarevic on the field. I'll have both maps set up later today for you.

Great! I'll proceed right now with that, putting up the two games with Glenn.
Dear Glenghis, now the Cave's hat fate has united us in the battlefield, once more!
Good luck for all.
