No resolution change when switch screen

I'm running the game in fullscreen either on my laptop (1366 x 768) or extended display on a monitor (1920 x 1080). When I switch between displays the resolution doesn't automatically detect the screen resolution (makes trying to change resolution on the laptop difficult as can only see part of the screen). Should the display resolution change dependent upon screen resolution? If not is there a workround?

The game will not automatically change resolution if you change screen resolution. You need to set it to the new resolution in Advanced Options and then quit the game normally so that it saves the new resolution. When you start the game again it should use the resolution you have set.

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'll use the OPTIONS.TXT file to change to the right resolution out-of-game; it'll be easier.

Edit: saw that you can't use comments in the OPTIONS.TXT
