Fatal application exit

Just had this appear, it was present when I closed the main game screen and went back to the desktop view:

Fatal Application Exit
Unhandled Exeption
ExpCode:0x80000003
ExpFlags:0
ExpAddress:0x0048E4D0

There was also another window saying "Error Missing critical files. Try reinstalling the game". The game runs perfectly well however.

Update - now getting both the fatal error and misssing files warning every time. Game still seems to be running OK.

I too get message about missing critical files. However the game appears to play normal. Purchased as download onto windows.

Purchased as download direct from Slitherine's website, not Steam.

I'll try an uninstall/reinstall later and see if that makes a difference.

Try installing the game in a folder different than C:\Program Files (x86)\.....
This is a protected folder and it might on some configurations cause issues.

Not got round to uninstalling/reinstalling yet, but played a game last night and tonight and the error window is no longer appearing.
