I once faced ianiow as he fielded a Jewish army with close to 140 BP :D
I had an army with lots of cataphracts but I don't think it was over 50 BP...

All remaining matches between Okie/ZumHeuriger and Cunningcairn/Iandavidsmith have been adjudicated in the form of draws.

Hidde has informed me that he has won one match already and will likely win the other one with Solly so we may begin the semi-finals concurrently as that match finishes. Semi-final matchups are as above.

Also, for the first time, this tournament will feature a third-place/bronze game between the two losing players in the semi-finals.

Again, thanks to all who participated. If you have any points to improve/sustain, just let me know. Next tournament will begin in mid-November, likely with a Swords and Scimitars theme.

hidde(Medieval Irish) 52/64 defeats Londo(Navarrese) 43/42

Incredibly hard fights... I don't think I ever had such a tough paired game and still somehow managed to be victorious in both!

A somewhat odd pair of armies in final, I must say :D
I've made my armies and will hopefully start tomorrow. I hope I'll remember something from when I had the Granadines way back :?

hidde(Navarrese) 25/44 defeats Jonathan4290(Later Granadine) 66/62
hidde(Later Granadine) 48/66 defeats Jonathan4290(Navarrese) 46/44

We both got inititive with the Granadines. Our Navarrese armies were pretty much identical expect me having all six Gascon brigans while Jon had none, I think.
The Granadines differed quite a lot though. Jon had very few skirmishers, going instead with a horde of crossbowmen. I had more skirmishers than crossbows.
At first I thought that were a big mistake but as long as one can avoid getting them trapped(tricky when they are that many), they can shoot more than the undrilled crossbow!

Really enjoyed a paired games tournament. Thanks to Jon for arranging this!

batesmotel (Medieval Irish) 19/63 beat Londo (Low Countries) 51/48
Londo (Medieval Irish) 35/65 beat batesmotel (Low Countries) 45/45

The Low Countries don't really have any answer to the Irish troop mix and quantity. Having played with the Low Countries all through the tournament, mine did put up a better fight than Londo's but still went down to defeat. Thanks for two good games.
