Annoying dropdownbox

He folks, somehow, sometimes, I manage to get a dropdownbox in the middle of my screen. It has two choices (all and [playername]). What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

It's the chat box. You can toggle it with the key located two keys left of ENTER.
